TOPIC: COURAGE TO DECLARE THE TRUTH
THEME SCRIPTURE: “What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.” — Matthew 10:27 KJV
PREPARATORY QUESTION
What truth has God placed in your heart that you need the courage to declare openly?
Jesus was preparing His disciples for opposition, yet He commanded them not to be controlled by fear. The message He entrusted to them was not meant to remain private. What they had received from Him in the quiet place had to be proclaimed publicly.
God often develops His servants in hidden places before He sends them into visible assignments. The private moments of prayer, study, correction, and preparation are not wasted. They are where convictions are formed and spiritual courage is strengthened.
But revelation carries responsibility. Jesus said, “What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light.” The disciple must not keep silent when God has given him truth to communicate.
Fear can make us calculate people's reactions before we obey God's instruction. We may become concerned about rejection, criticism, reputation, or losing acceptance. Yet Jesus' command is clear: do not allow fear to silence what God has entrusted to you.
The truth may not always be popular, but it must remain truthful. Our responsibility is not to control how people respond; it is to faithfully deliver what Christ has given us, with wisdom, love, and courage.
What God teaches you privately may eventually become a message you must proclaim publicly. Therefore, listen carefully in the secret place, then speak faithfully in the public place. Glory to God.

PRAYER
Father, give me courage to speak what You have entrusted to me. Remove the fear of people's opinions and make me faithful to Your truth. Help me to listen well in the secret place and proclaim boldly when You call me to speak. Let my words and life faithfully represent Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.
