PREPARATORY QUESTION
Do you live with the confidence that God has intentionally chosen you for His purpose?
Every person desires to be valued and accepted. Many spend their lives seeking approval from people, institutions, or society, hoping to prove that they matter. However, the believer’s identity is not built on human acceptance but on God’s deliberate choice.
Paul writes, “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight in love” (Ephesians 1:4). This reveals that God’s relationship with His people was not accidental or an afterthought. Before we had achievements, titles, or recognition, God had already set His love upon us through Christ.
Being chosen by God does not mean we are better than others; it means we have received grace and a responsibility. God chooses people not for privilege without purpose, but for a life that reflects His character. We are chosen to be holy, to walk in love, and to represent Him in the world.
When we understand that God has chosen us, we no longer need to be controlled by rejection or comparison. The opinions of people may change, but God’s purpose remains steady. Our value is not determined by who accepts us or who overlooks us; it is established by the God who called us.
A chosen person responds with humility and obedience. We do not live to earn God’s attention—we live because we have already received His love. Our actions become an expression of gratitude for the grace we have been given.
