TOPIC: LORD, I BELIEVE

PREPARATORY QUESTION
Am I bringing my doubts honestly to Jesus, or am I allowing them to keep me from trusting Him?
A desperate father came to Jesus carrying a burden no parent should have to bear. His son had suffered for years under the torment of an evil spirit, and every attempt to find help had failed. Even the disciples could not deliver the boy. Standing before Jesus, the father uttered words that many believers have quietly prayed: "If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
Jesus immediately redirected his attention. The issue was not Christ's ability but the father's trust. Confronted with this truth, the man responded with remarkable honesty: "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
That confession became the turning point of his encounter.
Restoration does not require perfect faith; it requires faith that is willing to come to Jesus. God is not intimidated by our questions or our struggles. He invites us to bring them into His presence, where weak faith can be strengthened by His unchanging power.
Many believers assume they must hide their doubts to appear spiritually mature. Yet Scripture shows that honesty before God is often the doorway to deeper faith. The father did not pretend to possess unwavering confidence. He admitted his need, and Christ met him with compassion and power.
Jesus delivered the boy completely, demonstrating that His authority extends over every force that seeks to destroy life. What seemed impossible to human effort was accomplished by the power of God. The miracle was not merely the restoration of a son but the renewal of a father's faith.
Restoration often begins when we stop relying on our own strength and place our confidence entirely in Christ. He does not ask us to manufacture stronger faith; He calls us to trust the One whose power never fails. As we behold His faithfulness, our confidence in Him grows.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You that You welcome me even when my faith feels weak. I confess that I often struggle with fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Help my unbelief and teach me to trust You more deeply. Strengthen my confidence in Your promises and remind me that nothing is impossible for You. Let my faith rest not in my own strength but in Your unfailing power. Revive my heart and make my life a testimony to Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
