TOPIC: GOD RESTORES OVER TIME

PREPARATORY QUESTION
Are you willing to trust God's process even when your transformation feels slow?
God's work in our lives is rarely instant. While we often desire immediate change, God is committed to lasting transformation. His perspective extends beyond today's struggles to the person He is shaping us to become for both this life and eternity.
Jacob's story illustrates this truth. From birth, he was known for striving, manipulating circumstances, and protecting his own interests. Yet God did not discard him because of his flaws. Instead, He patiently pursued him through defining encounters at Bethel, Haran, and Mahanaim. Each encounter exposed, corrected, and reshaped Jacob's character. Transformation came through years of God's faithful dealings, not through a single dramatic moment.
What is remarkable is how Jacob's life is remembered. Hebrews does not celebrate his deception but his faith. Even in his final moments, God was still refining him, and Jacob finished as a man who worshipped and trusted God. Divine restoration had accomplished what human effort never could.
If you feel frustrated by slow progress, remember that God's commitment to you has not weakened. He is not merely changing your circumstances; He is forming your character. Every season, every correction, and every encounter with Him is part of His restoring work. Stay responsive to His voice. The God who began His work in you will continue it faithfully.
