TOPIC: SOMEONE PASSED IT ON TO YOU
THEME SCRIPTURE: "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." — 2 Timothy 2:2
PREPARATORY QUESTION
Who helped you come to Christ, and who are you intentionally helping toward Christ today?
If you are a believer, you did not arrive at faith alone.
Someone prayed for you.
Someone taught you.
Someone shared Scripture with you.
Someone invited you to church, answered your questions, challenged your thinking, or explained the gospel.
God may have used several people, but the point remains the same: someone invested in your spiritual life.
The gospel reached you because it was passed from one person to another.
Paul reminded Timothy of this principle. Timothy received truth from Paul. Timothy was then commanded to pass that truth to faithful people who would teach others. Four generations of discipleship appear in a single verse. The Christian faith has always advanced through faithful believers intentionally investing in others.
Yet many Christians become consumers instead of disciples-makers. They attend services, learn biblical truth, and enjoy spiritual growth, but rarely pass on what they have received.
That is not God's design.
Every believer is called to help others take steps toward Christ and spiritual maturity. You may not preach to crowds. You may never write books or lead large ministries. But you can invest in one person. You can share Scripture. You can pray with someone. You can explain the gospel. You can encourage spiritual growth.
Never underestimate what God can do through a faithful conversation.
The person who invested in you may never have realized the full impact of their obedience. The same may be true for you. Seeds planted today may bear fruit years later.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for the people You used to bring me to Christ. Help me not to keep the gospel to myself. Give me a heart to invest in others and the faithfulness to share what You have taught me. Use my life to point people to Jesus and help them grow in their walk with Him. In Jesus' name, Amen.
