TOPIC: THE GOSPEL IS GOD'S POWER
Theme Scripture: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." — Romans 1:16
PREPARATORY QUESTION
Are you trusting the power of the gospel, or are you relying on your own ability to persuade people in your witnessing?
One reason many believers hesitate to share their faith is the fear of failure. They worry they will say the wrong thing, fail to answer every question, or be unable to convince someone to believe.
That fear often reveals a misunderstanding.
It is not your job to save people.
It is not your job to change hearts.
It is not your job to produce spiritual life.
Those things belong to God alone.
Paul did not say he was confident in his intelligence, personality, or speaking ability. He was confident in the gospel. Why? Because the gospel itself is God's power for salvation. Which means what is required to change hearts is in the gospel. So we only need to share it. Glory to God!
Too often, Christians place pressure on themselves that God never intended them to carry. We think every conversation depends entirely on our performance. It does not. God calls us to faithfully communicate the truth. He alone is responsible for the outcome.
This truth should free us from both fear and pride. If someone rejects the message, it does not mean God's Word has failed. If someone believes, it does not mean we deserve the credit. In both cases, God's purposes are at work.
The early church changed the world not because believers were all highly educated or influential. They simply proclaimed Christ. And they trusted God to do what only He could do.
Some people in your life may seem impossible to reach. Their hearts appear hard. Their objections seem strong. Their interest in spiritual things may be nonexistent. Pray for them, that by circumstances and by crisis they will turn to Christ.

Beloved, do not underestimate the power of the gospel at all. The same message that transformed Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle still transforms lives today.
Your responsibility is simple: know the message, live the message, and share the message. Leave the results to God.

PRAYER
Father, help me to trust the power of the gospel rather than my own abilities. Remove fear, pride, and self-reliance from my heart. Give me courage to share Christ faithfully and confidence that Your Word never returns empty. Use me as a faithful messenger and accomplish Your purposes through the gospel. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
