TOPIC: NO CONDEMNATION
THEME SCRIPTURE: "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."—Romans 8:1
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS
Are you living in the freedom of God's acceptance through Christ, or are you still carrying burdens of guilt and condemnation that Christ has already borne?
These things says the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who was slain and who now lives forevermore, your Advocate before the Father:
“I know your works. I know your desire to honor Me. I know the sorrow you feel over your failures and the burden you carry when you fall short. I know the battles you fight against temptation and the grief you experience when sin disrupts your fellowship with Me. I know that many of you sincerely desire to please God.” And this is commendable.
“Nevertheless, I have this against many of you” says the Lord. You continue to listen to voices God has silenced. You accept accusations that He has already answered at the cross. You rehearse forgiven sins, relive past failures, and carry guilt that the Lord has already removed.
Some of you confess the doctrine of justification with your lips but deny its power in your hearts. You believe Jesus can forgive others, yet struggle to believe that His sacrifice is sufficient for you. Have you forgotten what His blood accomplished?
When Jesus declared, "It is finished," the debt was paid in full. The condemnation that belonged to you was placed upon Him. The judgment you deserved was borne by Him. The sentence against you was satisfied through His death and vindicated through His resurrection.
Remember therefore that conviction and condemnation are not the same. Conviction comes from God’s Spirit and leads you toward repentance and restoration. Condemnation comes from the accuser and seeks to drive you into despair and distance from your Lord.
God’s Spirit says, "Return to Me." The accuser says, "Stay away from Him." God’s Spirit points to His grace. The accuser points only to your failures. God’s Spirit produces hope. The accuser produces despair.
Repent of unbelief regarding the Lord’s finished work. Stop measuring His forgiveness by your feelings. Stop evaluating your standing before God by yesterday's performance. Stop allowing the accusations of the enemy to overshadow the declarations of His Word.
If you are in Christ, your identity is not "condemned sinner" but "beloved child." You may stumble, but you are not abandoned. You may be corrected, but you are not condemned. You may be disciplined, but you are not rejected.
Walk therefore in the freedom purchased for you at Calvary.
To the one who overcomes, God will grant deep assurance of His love and acceptance. He shall walk with confidence before His throne, not because of his own righteousness but because of Jesus’. The accusations of the enemy shall lose their power over him, and the peace of God shall guard his heart and mind. Glory to God.
Beloved, rise above unbelief and you shall know the joy of living as one who has been fully forgiven, fully accepted, and forever united with Christ.

- Do I struggle more with conviction from God or condemnation from the enemy?
- Are there forgiven sins that I continue to carry as though Christ never paid for them?
- How does understanding justification by faith affect my daily relationship with God?
- What accusations am I believing that contradict God's Word?
- What would change in my life if I fully embraced God's declaration of "no condemnation"?
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thank You that through His death and resurrection I have been justified, forgiven, and accepted in Your sight. Forgive me for the times I have doubted Your grace and listened to voices of accusation rather than Your Word. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
