PREPARATORY QUESTION
What does it mean to give God your heart?
Beloved, God’s request according to our theme scripture is not complicated, but it is searching: give Me your heart. Not your routine, not your outward compliance—your heart. This is where your true allegiance lies. It is the center of your desires, your reasoning, and your quiet decisions.
We often want clarity without surrender. We ask for direction while still holding back parts of ourselves. But this scripture establishes order—heart first, then eyes. Until your heart is yielded, your vision will remain conflicted. You may look, but you will not truly see.
“Let thine eyes observe my ways.” This is more than noticing; it is learning with intent to follow. When your heart is aligned with God, your attention begins to shift. You start recognizing His patterns—how He responds, what He values, what He avoids. His ways become your reference point.
A divided heart creates blurred direction. You may desire God’s will, but competing attachments will distort how you interpret what you see. This is why surrender is essential. It removes internal conflict and brings focus.
Giving God your heart is not passive. It requires honesty. What currently competes for your loyalty? What influences your decisions more than His truth? These are not small questions—they reveal where your heart actually rests.
Once your heart is yielded, obedience becomes clearer. Not easier, but clearer. You no longer negotiate every step because your direction has already been settled internally.

“God asks for your heart before He directs your path.”
“What has your heart will shape what you follow.”
“Attention will follow where there is surrender.”
“You cannot truly observe God’s ways with a divided heart.”
“Direction becomes clear when devotion is settled.”
A surrendered heart brings clarity to your direction and alignment to your choices.
Beloved, today, God is not asking for perfection. He is asking for access. When He has your heart, He can shape your life into what He purposed even before the foundations of the earth were laid.
