TOPIC: THE PROBLEM OF COMPROMISE
THEME SCRIPTURE:
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." — Revelation 3:15-16
PREPARATORY QUESTION
What secret compromise are you protecting that would make Christ spit your Christianity out of His mouth?
The last days will not destroy weak believers with persecution first, but with comfort, excuses, and hidden compromise. Hell does not need you to be openly satanic; it only needs you half-hearted. God never asked for moderation in holiness. He demanded death to self.
The modern believer wants heaven without warfare, purity without sacrifice, conviction without repentance, and crowns without crosses. But Christ does not negotiate with flesh. Every tolerated sin is a declaration that your appetite matters more than God’s authority.
Lukewarm Christianity is not mercy; it is rebellion dressed in religious language. You post devotionals on social media every morning while entertaining bitterness, pornography, greed, gossip, pride, and secret immorality. Then you call it “struggle.” Scripture calls it slavery.
This generation celebrates “balance” while the Spirit demands separation. Stop baptizing compromise with sophisticated excuses. Sin does not become harmless because culture approves it. Darkness does not become light because society applauds it.
God is not looking for believers who blend in. Salt that loses its sharpness is thrown out. Light that hides itself is useless. If your Christianity never confronts your flesh, your habits, your speech, your entertainment, and your private life, then it is not discipleship — it is theater.
The fear of man has produced spineless believers who apologize for truth to gain acceptance. But truth was never designed to be edited to protect feelings. The Gospel is confrontational because eternity is at stake.

- “Compromise is slow-motion betrayal against the God you claim to love.”
- “A lukewarm believer is already negotiating with darkness.”
- “What you tolerate today will dominate you tomorrow.”
- “Holiness is not legalism; it is warfare against corruption.”
Kill compromise before compromise kills your sensitivity to God. Every small act of tolerated disobedience hardens the heart. What you repeatedly excuse, you eventually become.
Holiness is not extremism. Holiness is the normal Christian life..

PRAYER
Lord, destroy every appetite for compromise in me. Expose hidden corruption, crush hypocrisy, and make me hate what defiles my soul. Give me courage to obey You when truth costs comfort, relationships, reputation, or pleasure. Let my life burn with holiness in a dying generation. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
